GA LA – CAR Legacy

The roots of our family began in Jacksonville, Florida.  I did not know any one except my family when I moved to Florida.  I moved to Florida to start a business venture.  My mother moved back home to Jacksonville eventually.  I opened my boutique salon downtown Jacksonville.  I had to find away to promote my business.  I managed the salon part and my developed the boutique. We began promoting the designer suits by going to the homes of lades that my mother and grandmother knew in the community.  Grandma would ride with my mother as she says it to take care of her.  My mother had an injured back and it became more and more difficult to her to bring the clothes in and out of the car.  Grandma was right there to help my mom.  She would tell my mom to sit down and let her do it.  She had to be between 70 and 80 years of age.  I didn’t have kids initially.  Once I had kids my mother and grandmother would ride my girls in the car as they serviced out clients.   Grandma Carrie was diligent about giving out my cards.  She would always say “Gail give me some more cards”.  As we were going through her things I found cards that she still had.  My grandmother has died at 99 years old.  She will be dearly missed and I love her greatly.
