Welcome. GA LA CAR has been serving in Jacksonville Florida for over 25 years. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with you for a successful business. It is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. It will teach students the state requirements for a Cosmetology License. Students must be at least 16 yeas old to take to course. Students will be evaluated for comprehension of the course requirement, with a 75% or better evaluation score. Student will be issued a certificate. Student will attend one days, to complete the 2-4 Hour HIV/AIDS Certification workshop. Local classes will be held in Arlington Area. 4HR HIV/AIDS: Florida Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist or Facial Specialist, Full Specialist This course is for anyone applying for a Florida Cosmetologist license, Nail Specialist or Facial Specialist, Full Specialist license type . Those applying for a Cosmetology license with these license types must complete a 4-hour course on HIV/AIDS in order to be licensed. Florida Cosmetology licenses expire every 2 years and must be renewed by October 31st every other year in order to remain active. HIV/AIDS Workshop Objective: To prepare students to meet the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation mandated requirements to become a licensed Cosmetologist within prerequisite required 4 CLOCK HOURS:
Modes of Transmission of HIV/AIDS Communicable diseases Infection control procedures Prevention of HIV, AIDS, and communicable diseases Appropriate attitudes dealing with clients who may have HIV, AIDS or a communicable disease. You will get unlimited attempts to pass the quiz at the end of the course. After completing the course, you will receive your certificate of completion and then you will receive your license from The Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
2HR HIV/AIDS: Hair Braiders, Hair Wrappers, and Body Wrappers This course is for Hair Braiders, Hair Wrappers and Body Wrappers who need to renew their a Florida Cosmetologist License. Completion of a Board-Approved 2-Hour HIV/AIDs course is required to receive your initial or to renew your license. Those applying for a Cosmetology license with these license types must complete a 2-hour course on HIV/AIDS in order to be licensed. Florida Cosmetology licenses expire every 2 years and must be renewed by October 31st every other year in order to remain active. We require a $15.00 non-refundable deposit to register for this course. The balance of the course fee is due no later than 2 (Two) days prior to the scheduled class date. If you for any reason need to reschedule this class, arrangement must be made within 24 (Twenty -Four) hours of scheduled class in order to receive a credit; otherwise, your deposit will be forfeited. *Investment(s) includes workshop, registration, application processing and student's certificate of completion. Classes are held in Arlington. Credits can not be traded for cash and are good for one year only.
